Long time, no blog! (again!)

Hello!
Once again it has been a very long time since I wrote anything on here! In my defence we have had a very busy time! Baby Doggrell number two was a beautiful baby girl, Naomi Joy who arrived on 7th February in the end! Nathan is 3 and a half now and Naomi eighteen months!
If two little munchkins wasn't enough to keep me busy we have also finally moved out of our flat! The unexpected twist is that our new home is in Bournemouth! It wasn't really somewhere we were looking to be but Andy got offered a job down here and we're settling nicely! So we have had a busy time! We still managed to fit in a lovely family hoilday in Bideford and a few days at the Paralympics in London!
We also have another addition to the family, a furry one! A couple of months ago we adopted a little black kitten which Nathan has given the name 'Shadow Baddow'. Mostly I stick to Shadow!

16 Week Check Up

I thought that I'd just let you know that I had my 16 week antenatal appointment with the midwife yesterday and everything seems to be fine, which is always good news!
Andy came with me this time. He kept telling me things to ask the midwife so in the end I just siad that he should come and ask her himself! There was a trainee midwife in there as well, so with all four of us the room seemed quite crowded! The midwife I saw before has retired and so it was a new one this time. She seems very friendly and easy to talk to, which is always good.
We got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time, which was great! It was funny because the midwife was just saying that it's often a bit tricky to find the right place and then she put the thing on my stomach and found it straight away! It was reassuring to hear it because I can't feel baby moving just yet so I know things are ok (as far as we can tell).
My next appointment is the 20 week scan on the 14th July, which we're looking forward to and hopefully we'll get a picture this time!

In general I'm doing really well. The tiredness I had seems to be going now and it's nice to have some more energy! Now I've got to tackle all that housework that seems to have been neglected! Oh well!
My bump is getting bigger all the time and is beginning to show now. I seem to be growing out of most of my clothes and I had to go out and buy my first pair of maternity trousers! They are still a little bit big really, but I'm sure I'll fill them soon enough!

Andy is working really hard at the moment, something to do with the deadline for works on schools that are being carried out this summer holiday coming up. Needless to say he's very tired at the moment! Apart from that he's ok though!

We've got a busy few weeks coming up, I've won a makeover/photoshoot thing in London, so I'm going to that next week with Emma, which should be fun! Then Andy and I are going to Wimbledon on the Friday of the first week! Andy is very excited! Hopefully my friend Sarah is coming to stay that weekend too! And then we're into July already! I'll try and keep you updated and hopefully upload some pictures!

A Weekend Away

Hope you enjoyed last weeks extreme sheep!

We had a lovely weekend with my family in Shrewsbury this weekend. Andy took Friday off so we had a nice long weekend which we spent catching up with friends as well as family. We stayed with my grandparents in Plealey, which is quieter than mum and dad's! It was good to see our friends from Shrewsbury again, as we haven't been there since Christmas.
Surprisingly, for me, I didn't take any pictures! So I'm afraid there's nothing to show you! But it was nice to get away and relax.
We will hopefully have some news for you next week, but you'll have to wait until then....

Andy's work is very busy at the moment, as I imagine is common in a lot of places that have the same amount of work but fewer people to do it! He is responsible for about 80 schools matinance and building projects, which means he was especially grateful for the break, even if it was short!
I'm mainly just doing housework these days which is not very interesting to write about! I have started to help out with the parent and toddler group at church which I am enjoying! It's different to playgroup, but it's nice to be back 'working' with children again, even if it is volutary!

I think that's about it for now, more from the Doggrell family soon!

A Family Update

Right! I haven't posted anything for a week so I thought I'd just update you on what's been going on in the Doggrell house!
Andy continues to be busy at work, trying very hard to keep up with all of the demands from the 87 schools he has to look after. I'm sure he does an excellent job but it does stress him out sometimes! But, with the economic situation being what it is I'm sure lots of people are finding things a little tougher than before and we have much to be thankful for.
I'm still enjoying being a housewife and looking after our little flat! We would love to have a house but we are blessed in having this place which is our own home after all. It's plenty big enough for us and it's nice to have a spare room for guests (or anyone else that might come along!) I've settled into Hemel now and can find my way around most places now! I do miss Shrewsbury sometimes and my friends and family there, but this has become home and I am enjoying being here!

This weekend it was good to see Paul and Ruth and family (minister at SEC and family). They came down for a friends wedding and stayed at Andy's mum's house. It was nice to spend time with them and we helped to look after the boys when the others went to the wedding. I'm a bit out of practice with children and we were both exahusted by the end of the day! But it was good fun! And good practice!

Apart from all that there isn't much else going on really! So that's about it form me for now!

Interview

I spent most of this morning rushing round trying to gather together all the documents that I needed for my interview at a nearby nursery! I also spent a considerable amount of time trying to sort out my papers, particularly bank statements, but that's really boring so I won't say anymore about that! Don't you just hate all that paperwork?!
It's been four months since I was last working and I feel like I've forgotten everything! I think it's all in there somewhere, just have to find it! I think I did OK at the interview though. They have asked me to go back tomorrow morning for a trial, so this is just a quick post to keep you updated! I prefer it when they give you a trial day before making their decision, particularly as I don't think I do interviews very well, I always get really nervous and forget what I want to say! Then I remember once I've walked out! Does anyone else find that or is it just me?!
The job sounds quite good, three mornings a week and holiday cover if they need it, which would be perfect for us! Anyway, early start in the morning so I better go and get some sleep! I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!
